Common e-signature issues and how to resolve them.
Common Issues & Solutions
| Issue | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Signer didn't receive email | Spam filter, typo in email | Check spam/junk; verify email; click "Resend" |
| "Link expired" error | Signing link past expiration | Sender: "Extend" or "Resend" with new link |
| Can't draw signature on mobile | Touch event not registering | Try rotating to landscape; use a different browser |
| Signature fields not showing | Browser compatibility | Clear cache; try Chrome or Edge; disable ad blockers |
| "Document has been modified" error | Document was voided/reissued | Contact sender for new signing link |
| Can't complete — fields missing | Required fields not filled | Scroll through entire document to find all highlighted fields |
| Signer sees wrong name pre-filled | Email matched different account | Sender should void and resend with correct signer details |
| Document loads blank | Large PDF, slow connection | Wait 10-15 seconds for full load; check internet connection |
For Senders
- Signer not responding? Use the "Remind" button (more effective than manual email)
- Need to change a signer? Void the current request and create a new one with updated signers
- Made an error in the document? Void the request, fix the document, resend
- Signer left the company? Void and resend to the new contact
For Signers
- Don't recognize the sender? The invitation always shows who sent it. If suspicious, don't click — contact the sender directly.
- Need more time to review? The document doesn't expire until the configured date. Take your time.
- Want a copy before signing? Click "Download Original" before signing to save an unsigned copy.
- Made a mistake in your signature? Before clicking "Complete," you can clear and redo any field.
