How to Resend a Signing Invitation

Learn how to resend a signing invitation to pending signers in Zelosify.

What is "Resend Invite"?

When you send a signing session, each signer receives an email with a secure link to review and sign the document. If a signer hasn't acted on the invitation, you can resend it to nudge them — without voiding or restarting the session.

When should I resend?

  • The signer says they never received the original email
  • The signer's email link has expired (links are valid for 30 days)
  • You want to send a follow-up reminder to a pending signer
  • The signer's email provider marked the original as spam

How to resend an invitation

  1. Open the signing session from the E-Signatures page
  2. Click on the session to open the session detail panel
  3. Under People in this session, locate the signer with a "Sent" or "Pending" status
  4. Click the Resend Invite button at the top right of the People section
  5. Confirm the action — the signer will receive a new invitation email immediately

A new "Invitation sent" entry will appear in the Session activity log with a timestamp.

What happens when I resend?

  • A new email is sent to all signers who haven't signed yet
  • The original signing link remains valid — no old links are invalidated
  • The resend is recorded in session activity for your audit trail
  • The document itself is not changed

Important notes

  • You can only resend invitations for sessions in "Sent" status — not Completed, Voided, or Draft
  • Resending to signers who have already signed is not possible
  • If you've made changes to the document, you must revert to draft and re-send — resend invite only re-triggers the current version
  • Frequent resends (more than once every 24 hours) may land in the signer's spam folder

If the signer still hasn't received the invitation after resending, check:

  1. That the email address is correct on their signer profile
  2. Their spam/junk folder
  3. Whether their organization blocks external emails
