Sending Documents for Signature

Step-by-step guide to sending documents for e-signature in Zelosify.

How to Send a Document for Signature

Method 1: From a Contract or SOW

  1. Open the contract/SOW you want signed
  2. Click "Send for Signature" in the action bar
  3. The document is automatically attached
  4. Configure signers and fields (see below)

Method 2: Upload a New Document

  1. Navigate to Signatures"New Signature Request"
  2. Upload the document (PDF, up to 50MB for Starter, 100MB for Professional)
  3. Add a title and description
  4. Configure signers and fields

Configuring Signers

Signing Order Options

  • Sequential: Signer 1 must complete before Signer 2 receives the document
    • Use when: Internal approval must happen before vendor signs
  • Parallel: All signers receive the document simultaneously
    • Use when: Multiple parties can sign independently

Advanced Options

  • Expiration: Set days until the request expires (7, 14, 30, 60, or custom)
  • Reminder Schedule: Auto-remind unsigned parties (every 2 days by default)
  • Password Protection: Require signers to enter a code before viewing
  • Personal Message: Include a note to signers in the invitation email
  • CC Recipients: People who should receive a copy but don't sign

After Sending

  • All signers receive email invitations
  • You can track progress in Signatures"Sent" tab
  • Status updates appear in real-time
