Uploading Contracts
How to upload existing PDF contracts and leverage AI to automatically extract metadata.
Supported Formats
- PDF (primary supported format)
- Maximum file size: 50MB
- Maximum pages: 500 per document
- Text-based PDFs work best (scanned documents - we are working on building this feature)
How to Upload a Single Contract
- Navigate to Contracts → click "Upload Contract"
- Drag and drop your PDF file, or click to browse.
- Click "Upload & Process"
- Zelosify's AI processes the document (typically 30-90 seconds):
- Extracts text content for search indexing
- Identifies contract parties
- Extracts effective and expiration dates
- Detects key clauses (termination, payment, liability, etc.)
- Identifies financial values and payment terms
- Extracts obligations and commitments
- Review the AI-extracted metadata.
- Click "Confirm" to save to your repository
Bulk Upload
- Navigate to Contracts → "Bulk Upload"
- Select multiple PDF files (up to 25 at once)
- Each file is queued for processing
- Review and confirm each contract's extracted metadata when processing completes

Processing Status

Tips for Best Results
- Use text-based PDFs (not scanned images) for highest accuracy
- Ensure documents are not password-protected
- Single-contract PDFs work better than merged multi-contract files
- Clearly formatted contracts with standard clause headings yield better extraction
