Feature Gates & Plan Enforcement
How plan-based feature limits are enforced and how to manage them.
How Feature Gates Work
Zelosify enforces plan limits at the application level. When you reach a limit:

| User count | Cannot invite more users | "User limit reached" on invite page |
| Vendor count | Cannot add more vendors | "Vendor limit reached" on creation |
| Contract count | Cannot create new contracts | "Contract limit reached" on creation |
| Storage | Cannot upload new documents | "Storage full" on upload |
| AI Credits | AI features disabled | "Credits exhausted" on AI actions |
| Feature access | Feature disabled | Feature not shown in navigation |
Admin Controls
- View current usage vs. limits on the billing page
- Receive alerts at 80% of each limit
- Proactively archive unused items to free capacity
- Upgrade plan to increase limits
Grace Period
- If a downgrade puts you over new limits, a 14-day grace period applies
- During grace: existing data is accessible, new creation blocked
- After grace: read-only mode until you reduce usage or re-upgrade
